"Miss Lane? In my office."
Giving a long sigh, Lois gets up from her desk, leaving the apartment guide magazine open. She makes her way to Perry's office. Shutting the door, Lois sits at the foot of his desk.
"I'm almost done with the Senator's stor.."
" Your assignment has been changed. I need you to interview Superman about the robbery he stopped yesterday. I gave Clark the Senator story."
Lois's mouth drops. Only small mutters that should be words could only be heard coming from her mouth. How was she suppose to interview the one man she didn't want to see right now? Perry would never understand her situation, even if it was explained to him.
"Perry, he's done something like this before. It's like I would repeat myself in writing another article like this. Remember he stopped that robbery almost 6 years ago at the same bank? People will be bored with reading something like that. Now the Senator.."
"It's Superman. People are never bored with reading about him. And this whole situation was different than the last. These robbers planted something in the building to make the roof collaspe, of course everyone made it out safe thanks to you know who. Find him. I want the article on my desk tomorrow morning. Have a nice day, Lois."
Perry gives her a quick smile before dismissing her out of the office. Walking over to her desk, Lois sits back down, taping her pencil on the desk before taking it in between both hands and snapping it in half. She couldn't do this. She wouldn't. Not now. So much had happened last night that one would wish to forget. The risk Lois took in telling Richard everything, she had lost him. But that was suppose to help her and Jason be reunited with Superman and to be the family that they are, only to find out it was too late. A massive headache was coming on as a hand was brought to Lois's head. She opens the drawer to her desk and takes out a few aspirin.
